Normally it connects to that via a socket that the locally running docker daemon creates.
I’ve had loads of issues over the years where I had to wipe it out and reinstall.
While this does not immediately impact me, I have been relying on docker desktop for mac for a while and that annoys me for several reasons: Yesterday, Docker announced that Docker for Mac is going to require a paid account for large companies soon.
